A few years back we had the pleasure of working together with Fante Film and Roar Uthaug doing all visual effects on his feature film debut: Cold Prey. Since then Fante Film produced both Cold Prey II and the Prequel Cold Prey III; we were fortunate enough to handle all VFX in both cases.

Currently we are involved in two new projects with Fante Film: We are doing all visual effects and co-producing a fantastic adventure project coming out in 2013 – unfortunately we can’t tell you much about it yet, but do stay tuned for updates. Right now we are also doing the finishing touches of all visual effects for director Roar Uthaug’s most recent feature film: Escape (Flukt)

Ten years after the Black Death ravaged the country, a poor family is on a journey to find better living conditions. On a deserted mountain pass, they are attacked by a gang of ruthless outlaws. They only spare the life of the nineteen year old Signe. She is taken captive and the gang takes her back to their camp. Here she learns that she is intended a fate worse than death. Signe understands that the only solution is to escape.

We can’t wait to see the final result when Escapes hits the cinemas September 2012. Until then, here is the first and thrilling teaser for the film.

This Friday “a Royal Affair” opened in Berlin. The movie is in the main competition and later tonight we’ll know if the jury decided to award the movie a well deserved place amongst the winners of this years Berlinale. It was an amazing experience to attend the festival but even more rewarding to finally seeing the final film and to see how the visual effects really sits in the movie. It really is an amazing movie and to be honest I was very proud of the effects as well – I do think we did a great job there.

“a Royal Affair” opens in Denmark on March 29th and after this years film festival in Berlin it sounds like it will open in a significant amount of other countries too. Big thanks and congratulation to Nikolaj Arcel and the rest of the amazing crew behind “a Royal Affair”.

there is nothing like watching a bunch of recruits being put through the paces in the snow while waiting for the coffee maker to finish brewing.

Our editor / grader Joe Barnett and Marcus Toft from Freezone have been working hard on our new 2012 reel and we are almost ready to launch. We are down to very small tweaks and the death of yet another few darlings.

Today it was announced that A Royal Affair has been selected to enter the Berlin Film Festival.

A big thank you to the talented peopleeverywhere who worked really hard on making it look so good.

Late 2011 we were asked if we could do water splash test for Industrial Light & Magic. ILM wanted to see how well we would handle a digitally created ocean, a digital 3d object interacting with the surface and the subsequent water splash – all computer generated obviously.

We have just handed over the last HDSR tape with the 24th and final episode of this years advent calendar for Danish broadcaster TV2; Ludvig and Santa Claus.
Over the last few months christmas ornaments have filled one of our grading suites while the episodes have completed and a new variation of mulled wine has been served every friday.
On top of the grading a huge amount of Ghost effects were done making this one of the largest logistic projects we have yet undertaken.

3D artist Esben Andersen has together with his fellow students won an award for their fantastic graduation film Last Fall.

The yearly christmas party was held at Ghost this friday and from what we can remember everyone had a good time.
Thanks to Rikke and Julie and the rest of the christmas swat team for planning the party and sourcing plastic palmtrees and lay’s from god knows where.
