It has been a pleasure working with GHOST in the opening sequence for HELLBOY II. Their work is exquisitely executed and they are one of the most detail-oriented, highly artistic VFX houses I’ve ever worked with. When Art Directing the small sequence, I knew that I would need a European VFX house to understand the delicate patina and atmospheric work that was demanded and went to GHOST after examining their demo reel. They exceeded my expectations and I am forever grateful.

I needed a unique look on “Drag Me To Hell” for the scene where the Lamia demon is exorcised from one of our characters. I’d pitched a concept of what I thought this effects/character should look like to director, Sam Raimi. He liked my idea, but wanted me to show it to him (which would mean producing it to nearly to conclusion)…
Consequently, I needed an effects house that could produce A-level VFX, and be willing to invest into the somewhat “unquantified” time it would take to explore this “amorphous-smoky-tendril-like-particle-character” I had in mind.
I was fortunate enough to meet Jeppe and Martin from Ghost VFX, who tackled the project with enthusiasm. After less versions than I would have imagined (though probably more than they would have preferred), they came upon a solution that worked beautifully (or horror-ibly), and Sam loved it.
Creatively-astute, technically-brilliant – I’d work with these guys again in minute!
